Government of Maharashtra vide notification no MAHARASHTRA ACT No. XIV OF 2019 and in accordance to the conversion of Maharashtra ordinance no.VI dated 6th March 2019 has amended Section 6(3) of the Maharashtra State Tax on Professions, Trades, Callings and Employments Act, 1975. As per the notification the penalty towards failing to file return on time has been amended from rupees one thousand to rupees two hundred in case if employer files the return within a period of thirty days after the expiry of the prescribed time for filing of such return and an amount of rupees one thousand, in any other case

Government of Maharashtra vide notification no MAHARASHTRA ACT No. XIV OF 2019 has amended Section 5,8,9 of the Maharashtra State Tax on Professions, Trades, Callings and Employments Act, 1975. As per the amendment the penalty clauses have been changed with respect to registration or enrolment, failure to deduct or payment of tax. The amendment has also revised the due date for payment of tax by enrolled person to 31st March of the year in which the rates are revised

Government of Madhya Pradesh vide notification no 598/1233/17/B-16 has introduced online procedure for principal employer registration under the Contract Labour (Regulation And Abolition) Act, 1970. The principal employer employing twenty or more contract employees on any day in a year shall register online under said Act. This registration can be done by visiting the said website - http://labour.mp.gov.in/Works/PublicPE/PE_Registration.aspx

Validity Of License Extended Upto Ten Years Under The Jharkhand Factories Rules, 1950
The Government of Jharkhand vide notification no SO-60 has amended sub rule (2) of rule 5 of the Jharkhand Factories Rules, 1950 where license granted or renewed under this chapter shall remain valid or be in force for a minimum period of one year to maximum period of fifteen years as applicable. The licence so granted or renewed shall remain valid up to 31st December of the applied period. Provided that the fee prescribed under Schedule ‘A’ ‘B’ and ‘C’ is deposited for the period of application. In case of temporary factory or the nature of their activity demands, the Chief Inspector may issue factory licence for less than ten year validity on an application made in this behalf by an occupier
