Circular On Relaxation In Due Date Of Payment Of ESI Contribution In Odisha Region
ESIC vide circular No.P-11/12/Misc./1/2019 (M)-Rev.II has informed to the Principal Secretary, Labour and ESI Department in Odisha to extend the date of contribution for 14 districts i.e Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Nayagarh, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Balasopre, Mayurbhanja, Keonjhar, Ganjam, Angul, Dhenkanal in the State of Odisha, from fifteen days as mentioned in Regulation 31 of The Employees State Insurance (General) Regulations, 1950 to forty five days for the month of April 2019 in respect of the natural calamity in the form of the severe cyclone Fani

Government of West Bengal has issued an order towards extending the last date of filing return in Form III under West Bengal State Tax on Professions, Trades, Callings and Employments Rules, 1979 for the year 2018-19 ending 31st March 2019. The details towards the same are as follows : a) Last date of transmission of data electronically of return as specified will be 31st May 2019 and b) Last date of furnishing paper form of that return as specified will be 7th June 2019

The Kerala Minimum Wages Notification (March 2019)
Government of Kerala, Labour and Skills (E) Department has revised the variable dearness allowance for employment in Shops and Commercial Establishment and employment in Computer Software Sector. As per the Notification No.P3.PdI.1/2019/DES, the Consumer Price Index (Cost of Living Index) Numbers applicable to employees in employment under the Minimum Wages Act (Central Act XI of 1948) for the month of March 2019 are as ascertained by the Director General of Economics & Statistics under clause (C) of Section 2 of the Act

The Gujarat Shops And Establishments (Regulation Of Employment And Conditions Of Service) Act,2019
Government of Gujarat vide notification no GHR/2019/26/BSE/192016/428889/M-3 has enacted the Gujarat Shops and Establishments (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act,2019 thereby repealing the Gujarat Shops and Establishment Act,1948. The said enactment is effective from 1st May 2019. The Act also states that any rule or subsequent sub rules created under the previous Gujarat Shops and Establishment Act,1948(which stands repealed) will be effective until a new Rule under the provisions of the Gujarat Shops and Establishments (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act,2019 is notified

Additional Guidelines Towards Issuance Of Health Passbooks To Beneficiaries
ESIC further to the notification no F.No.Z-11/12/8/2018-PR launching "Health Passbook" for ESI Beneficiary for their use during their visit to ESIC/ESIS Hospitals/MEUD/Modified IMP clinic/Dispensary etc has released new guidelines towards the issuance of the Health Passbook to the beneficiaries. This notification generally includes the action plan towards various regional offices on printing the health passbook along with procedures adopted after issuing the passbooks and guidelines towards distribution of the health passbook
