The Kerala Minimum Wages Notification (April 2022)
The Government of Kerala, Labour and Skills (E) Department has revised the variable dearness allowance for employment in Shops and Commercial Establishment and employment in Computer Software Sector. As per the Notification No.DES/859/2022-P3(1), the Consumer Price Index (Cost of Living Index) Numbers applicable to employees in employment under the Minimum Wages Act (Central Act XI of 1948) for the month of April 2022 ascertained by the Director General of Economics & Statistics under clause (C) of Section 2 of the Act. Work Hour Accommodation For Municipal And Panchayat Election In The State Of Madhya Pradesh
The Government of Madhya Pradesh vide Circular No. 9/27/Three/2022/22991-23171, requires the shops and establishments to allow the eligible workers to arrive four hours late or leave four hours early or be absent for four hours during the day on 6th July 2022 (Tuesday) and 13th July 2022 (Wednesday) on account of Municipal and gram panchayat elections. Punjab
Permission To Keep Establishments Open On All Days Of The Year In Punjab
The Government of Punjab vide Notification No. 21/08/2017-4L/484, permitted all establishments under the Punjab Shops and Establishments Act, 1947, to keep open throughout the year for a further period till 31st May 2023, subject to prescribed conditions. Haryana
The Government of Haryana vide notification No. 17217, provided the conditions for exemptions from restrictions on employing women workers in night shifts by IT/ITEs, banking institutions, three-star or above hotels, hundred percent export-oriented establishments, logistics, and warehousing establishments. The conditions include the prevention of acts of sexual harassment, complaint redressal mechanism, prior consent from women workers for such employment, etc. Please refer to the notification for more details

Online Registration And Renewal Of License For Factories In Puducherry
The Government of Puducherry vide order No. 4654/CIF&B/2022/703, mandated the registration and renewal of licenses for factories, under the Factories Act, 1948, to be made online through the website of the Puducherry Labour Department. Permission To Keep Shops And Establishments Open On All Days Of The Year in Tamil Nadu
The Government of Tamil Nadu vide notification No. II(2)/LWSD/435(a)/2022 permitted all shops and establishments to keep open throughout the year, for three years under the Tamil Nadu Shops and Establishments Act, 1947. Additionally, the notification provides for employing women employees to work at night subject to the prescribed conditions. Please refer to the notification for more details

Extension Of Provision Of The ESI Act To Certain Classes Of Establishments
The ESIC vide notification no. S.O. 2466(E) extended the provisions of the Employees’ State Insurance Act, 1948, to certain classes of establishments and areas in which the establishments are situated provided in the Schedule of the notification.
