The government has revised the validity of Fire No Objection Certificates (Fire NOCs) as part of the State Business Reform Action Plan (SBRAP) 2024: 1. Non-hazardous occupancies: NOCs valid for five years with a fee of five times the annual rate; shorter periods can be chosen at a proportionate fee 2. Hazardous industries/storage: NOCs valid for two years at twice the annual fee. These changes will take effect at the next renewal date, pending compliance with fire safety norms. The Director General of Fire & Rescue Services will implement the updates. Please refer to the order for more details.
