1. Short Title, Scope Extent and Commencement 1.1. These Regulations may be called the “Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (Electricity Supply Code and Standards of Performance of Distribution Licensees including Power Quality) Regulations, 2021. (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Code’) 1.2. Save as otherwise provided in this Code, Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (Electricity Supply Code and Other Conditions of Supply) Regulations, 2005 and Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (Standards of Performance of Distribution Licensees, Period for Giving Supply and Determination of Compensation) Regulations, 2014 are hereby repealed. 1.3. Notwithstanding such repeal anything done or action taken or purported to have been taken, or proceedings initiated under such repealed Regulations, shall be deemed to have been taken under this Code to the extent that same were not inconsistent with the Act; and 1.4. All the forms and formats annexed to the Code set out the minimum requirements to be maintained by the Distribution Licensees in their forms and formats. The Distribution Licensee may make suitable amendments in the forms/formats maintaining the minimum information and may include such provisions which are not inconsistent with the Act and the Regulations after seeking prior approval of the Commission. Such amended forms/ formats would be posted on the website of the respective Distribution Licensees for use by Consumers only after prior approval of the Commission.
