The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) has issued a circular mandating emission control measures for in-use diesel generator sets of 61 kW and above, including retrofitting with certified RECDs, adopting dual-fuel systems, or shifting to gas-based generators or compliant DG sets. All concerned establishments must comply within 90 days from the date of issuance of the circular, failing which the bank guarantee may be forfeited.
