As per Maharashtra official gazette dated 31st March 2018, the Government of Maharashtra has released the Maharashtra Tax Laws (Levy And Amendment) Act, 2018 under which the provisions of the Maharashtra State Tax on Professions, Trades, Callings and Employments Act, 1975 have been amended. As per the amendment the limited liability partnership, registered under the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008 have been brought under the purview of the Professions Tax Act and they shall be liable to pay to the State Government the professional tax at the rate mentioned in Schedule I and also follow all other Professional Tax Act compliances for their organization
