As per notification published in the Kolkatta Gazette dated 28th August 2017, the Government of West Bengal has cited that multiplicity and varied periodicity of submission of Returns under Labour Laws has been a cause of unease amongst the Factories / Shops or Establishments / business entities; and thus, the Government has introduced the online submission of Single Annual Integrated Return under the following Acts: (i) Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act, 1970; (ii) The Building and Other Construction Workers' (RE &CS) Act, 1996; (iii) Motor Transport Workers Act, 1961; (iv) Interstate Migrant Workmen (RE &CS) Act, 1979; (v) Minimum Wages Act, 1948; (vi) Factories Act, 1948.
