The Ministry of Labour and Employment Vide S.O. 2696(E), has authorised EPFO officers (CPFC, Addl. CPFC, RPFC, Asst. PFC, and Enforcement Officers) to exercise powers of Recovery Officer under the Code on Social Security, 2020 for establishments covered under Chapter III across India, superseding S.O. 796 dated March 4, 1997.
