Government of West Bengal, Directorate of Commercial Taxes vide Memo No: 140 CT/PRO suppressing the earlier Memo. No. 119 CT/PRO, dated 21st April 2021 has further extended the last date of filing Annual return in Form-III for the financial year ending 31st March 2021 to 31st August 2021. The last date for furnishing the paper form of that return also has been extended to 7th September 2021. Please refer to the notification for more details

The Kerala Minimum Wages Notification (April 2021)
The Government of Kerala, Labour and Skills (E) Department has revised the variable dearness allowance for employment in Shops and Commercial Establishment and employment in Computer Software Sector. As per the Notification No.DES/859/2021-P3(1), the Consumer Price Index (Cost of Living Index) Numbers applicable to employees in employment under the Minimum Wages Act (Central Act XI of 1948) for the month of April 2021 ascertained by the Director General of Economics & Statistics under clause (C) of Section 2 of the Act

The Telangana Security Services Minimum Wages Notification (April 2021)
Government of Telangana vide notification no. G.O Ms. No. 21 dated 25th June, 2021 has revised minimum wages for security services under the list of Schedule Employments. The notification shall come into force from the date of publication of notification in the Official Gazette

The Apprenticeship (Amendment) Rules, 2021
Government of India vide notification No.G.S.R. 436(E ) has amended Schedule - I(List of Designated Trades) of The Apprenticeship Rules, 1992. As per the amendment, the entries relating to Spinning Technician, Textile Wet Processing Technician, Weaving Technician has been included under Group No.16 (Textile Trades Group) and Solar Technician (Electrical), Wind Power Plant Technician (Electrical) has also been included under Group No.40 (Green Jobs Trades Group) of The Apprenticeship Rules, 1992. Gujarat
The Contract Labour (Regulation And Abolition) (Gujarat Amendments) Rules, 2021
Government of Gujarat vide notification no. GHR/2021/81/LBL/192020/510460/M3 has amended The Contract Labour (Regulation And Abolition) (Gujarat) Rules, 1972. As per the Amendments, (1) every establishment, contractor, principal employer, shall file the consolidated annual return in Annexure V under self-certification cum consolidated annual return scheme instead of half-yearly return in Form XXIV (in duplicate), annually a return in Form XXV (in duplicate). The return can also be filed online between 1st January and 1st March every year, (2) The amendments also removed the provisions towards the display of charges for foodstuffs, beverages and any other items served in the canteen, audit of the accounts of the canteen, display of abstract of the act and the rules, notice to the inspector on the rate of wages, hours of work, wage periods, dates of payment of wages, name and addresses, maintenance of register and records within the radius of three kilometres. Government of Maharashtra, Finance Department in exercise of power conferred under Section 6(3) of the The Maharashtra State Tax On Professions, Trade, Callings And Employments Act, 1975 amends the Government Notification Finance Department, No. PFT-2014/C.R.-38/Taxation-3 dated 21st August 2014 ,to include Entry 8 which requires that returns for the month of March 2021, April 2021, May 2021 can be filed on or before 30th June 2021 on the website of the Maharashtra Goods and Service Tax Department. Therefore, Tax and interest shall be paid before filing of return for the month March 2021, April 2021, May 2021. Please refer to the notification for more details
