The Ministry of Labour and Employment Vide S.O. 2698(E), has specified that employers shall be liable to pay simple interest at the rate of twelve per cent per annum on any amount due from them under the Code on Social Security, 2020, from the date such amount became due till actual payment. This notification is deemed to have come into force from November 21, 2025. Please refer the notification for more details.
