Employment Of Women In Factories In Night Shifts In Karnataka
As per recent notification No. D 61 KaBaSe 2015 dated 20th Nov 2019, the Karnataka Government has cited Madras High Court Decision in view of which the government will allow to employ women workers in the factories during night shifts i.e. from 7 pm to 6 am. Chief Inspector may by an order withdraw the permission issued by notification to any factory on violation of any of such condition mentioned in the notification. Please refer the notification for conditions for grant of exemption

Amendment To Tamil Nadu Factories Rules 1950
The Government of Tamil Nadu vide notification No. SRO A-45/2019 has amended Rule 6(3), 8(2) and 10 of the Tamil Nadu Factories Rules, 1950. As per the amendment, the fees prescribed earlier for amendment, transfer and loss of license have been revised from existing 'fifty rupees' to 'two hundred rupees'

The Kerala Minimum Wages Notification (September 2019)
Government of Kerala, Labour and Skills (E) Department has revised the variable dearness allowance for employment in Shops and Commercial Establishment and employment in Computer Software Sector. As per the Notification No.P3.Pdl.1/2019/DES, the Consumer Price Index (Cost of Living Index) Numbers applicable to employees in employment under the Minimum Wages Act (Central Act XI of 1948) for the month of September 2019 are as ascertained by the Director General of Economics & Statistics under clause (C) of Section 2 of the Act

Declaration Of Paid Holiday In The State Of Karnataka On The Occasion Of Bye- Election Day
Election Commission of India vide circular no No.78/EPS/2019 has announced the schedule for Bye-Election to 15 Assembly Constituencies of Karnataka, 2019 to be held on 5th December 2019 vide press Note No ECI/PN/84/2019. In this regard, directed all employers to grant holiday with wages on the day of poll for employees working in any business, trade, industrial undertaking or any other establishment falling within the jurisdiction area of the state of Karnataka and who are enrolled as voters in the state of Karnataka (Please refer to the notification for detailed information)
