Exemption From Renewal Of Shops And Establishment Registration In Punjab
Government of Punjab vide notification no 21/134/2001-5Labour(PF)/1345272 had ordered that registration under Section 13 of the said Act shall be granted within one day from the date of submission of online application without prior inspection by the Competent Authority. The renewal of registration required under Section 13(2)(ii) of the Act is hereby exempted

Telangana
Telangana Government Declares Election Poll Holiday On 7th December 2018
As per notification published by the Telangana Government dated 30th October 2018, the Telangana Government has observed that the General Elections to Telangana State Legislative Assembly,2018 will be held on 07.12.2018 (Friday) in one phase for 119 Assembly Constituencies of 31 districts of the Telangana State and in connection with the conduct of poll a large number of Public Buildings, including Educational Institutions and other buildings will be utilized for the purpose of setting up of the polling stations and distribution centers. Thus, the Telangana Government has directed that 7th December 2018 shall be declared holiday if there is no holiday under the T.S. Factories and Establishments Act, 1974 (Act No.32/1974) and T.S shops and Establishments Act, 1988

West Bengal
West Bengal Shops And Establishments Permitted To Remain Open 7 Days In A Week
Government of West Bengal in exercise of power conferred by Section 4(2) of West Bengal Shops And Establishments Act 1963, has granted exemption to all classes of shops and establishments situated in whole of West Bengal from operations of provisions of Section 5(1)(a). Under this notification government has allowed the shops and establishment situated within the state of West Bengal to remain open for all seven days a week in public interest without affecting the rights and interests of the workers subject to certain conditions as mentioned in the notification. The Individual employer intending to avail of this exemption will have to apply to the government seeking permission to grant of such exemption along with details of documents as listed in the notification.
