EFPO Circular For International Workers In Singapore

EPFO vide circular IWU/7(14)2008/Singapore/3130 has advised to all zones and regional commissioners for regulating the receipt of contribution taking in consideration this certification received through the employer of such workers either in physical or electronic form. The certificate as per agreement can be issued by any authorities namely the high commission of the Republic of Singapore in India, Consulate-General of the Republic of Singapore in India and Singapore's Ministry of Trade and Industry. Therefore, claims submitted by Singapore nationals can be processed treating India Singapore comprehensive economic cooperation agreement signed by India. Guidelines For Payment Of Bonus Or Ex-gratia To The Employees In West Bengal

The Governor Of West Bengal vide notification No. Labr/1690(LC-IR)/22013/56/2019 makes an appeal to all employers and employees of the state covered under payment of Bonus Act,1965 as amended by the payment of Bonus (Amendment) Act, 2015 to stick to the following guidelines while setting the legitimate dues of workers in respect of payment of bonus, in view of ensuing Durga Puja, for the year 2021, (1) Employers shall adopt a flexible attitude on the issue of payment of bonus, (2) Employers shall consider payment of an amount of ex-gratia in lieu of bonus as is admissible at the maximum stage workmen and employees who have crossed the eligibility limit, (3) All employees, whether in casual employment or re-employed after retirement or employed through contractors worked for not less than 30 days during the year should be paid bonus, (4) The employers who are in default towards payment of bonus for the previous years are also being requested to make such payments this year along with the payment of bonus, (5) All trade unions, and employers organizations shall extend their co-operation in maintenance of a climate of industrial peace and exercise their good offices for peaceful and effective settlement of industrial disputes, (6) Employees of IT sector, Hotels and Restaurants, Shops & Establishments, Security Workers and some workers in jute mills should get, (7) The payments of bonus should be made before commencement of Durga Puja, 2021, (8) All employers including the public sector undertakings will act according to this appeal, (9) Government also expects that all employers' organizations will advise their constituents to act according to this appeal. Therefore, Government expects that the employers in such cases shall also pay bonus/ex-gratia to their workers before commencement of Durga Puja, 2021. Extension Of Timeline For Mandatory Seeding Of Aadhar Number For North Eastern States And Certain Establishments

Employees Provident Fund Organization vide circular No: BKG-27/5/2021-BKG/ has extended the time till 31st December 2021 towards seeding of Aadhaar for EPFO administrative zone of north east region comprising state of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura and establishments in remote localities, areas affected by insurgency, frequent change of work site of workers, other attendant constraints in classes establishments such as Beedi making, building and construction and plantation industries. The delay in filing ECR for wage month August 2021, September 2021, due to non seeding of Aadhaar in establishments located other than those areas as mentioned shall not be considered as employer's default. Therefore, zonal offices are directed that regional offices and district offices facilitate and coordinate with UIDAI to organize camps for Aadhaar enrolment and correction in Aadhaar data of EPF member to facilitate Aadhaar seeding in UANs and monitor the progress on weekly basis. EPFO Gives Relief From Penalty For Delay In Deposit Of Dues Or Filing Of ECRs For Wage Month Of May 2021

EPFO vide circular No. C-I/MISC./Pandemic Relief/2021/Vol-I has directed its field offices not to presume Employers default with respect to the delay in filing of ECRs for the month of May, 2021 which are statutorily due on or before 15th June 2021 on account of non-seeding of Aadhar with the UANs. Further, EPFO has advised its offices to appreciate each case in its own facts under section 14B of the Employees Provident Fund And Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952. EPFO Notifies Employer Guidelines For Rectification Of Details For KYC Update Of Members

EPFO vide circular has notified employers "Guideline for Rectification of Details for KYC Update of Member and Proof of Documents required for availing services". Employers has been requested to follow the prescribed guidelines subject to submission of correct proof of documents and records to enable the member to update the KYC and to avail the benefit of online settlement and EPFO services. Further to this, it has also been notified that complete change in the member profile cannot allowed in the normal course through online or offline process except in extreme situations wherein employer can prove that the member name has been changed following the due process prescribed by law or if there has been erroneous upload of member data by the employer following which the employer has to produce documentary evidence of the member and after due verification, will be considered for correction. The details of the requirement of certain documents to be submitted by the Employer and the Member under various heads for rectification of details for KYC update can be found on the attachment. Hence, Employer has been requested to make note of the same and also notify their members who wish to rectify their profile for KYC update for availing services and settlement under EPFO

EPFO Launches A Drive To Promote Employee E-Nominations

EPFO vide circular No. Pension-3/E-nomination Monitoring Cell/pt.(35734)/1770 has directed all field offices to pursue members to file e-nomination under subject known as Bharat Ka Amrit Mahotsav. In this regard, members who do not have ready access to desktop/mobile may be facilitated by the concerned field office for getting their nomination filed online when they visit the office. Hence, employers are requested to make note of the above and facilitate filing e-nomination for their employees. Please refer to the notification for more details.

ESIC Introduced COVID-19 Relief Scheme For The Benefit Of Insured Person

ESIC vide notification No.N-12/13/1/2019-P&D has introduced COVID-19 relief scheme for the insured person who are considered to be "Employee" working in a factory or establishments as defined under The Employees State Insurance Act , 1948. The scheme also provides eligibility conditions as mentioned, (1) The deceased insured person must have been registered on the ESIC online portal at least three months prior to the death of diagnosis of COVID-19 disease. (2) The deceased insured person must be in employment in the date of diagnosis of COVID-19 disease and contribution for at least seventy days should have been paid or payable in respect of him or her during the period of maximum one year immediately preceding the diagnosis of COVID-19 diseases resulting in death. The scheme as mentioned shall be effective from 24th March 2020 for the period of two years. Please refer to the notifications for more details.

Extension Of Period Of Waiver Of Fee For Registration Under The Battery (Management and Handling) Rules, 2001 In Rajasthan

The Rajasthan State pollution Control Board vide notification no. F16(Gen-110)RPCB/Battery/Haz./Jaipur/968 has directed that the period of waiver of registration fee of Rs.10000 (Rupees ten thousand only) for dealers for registration under the Battery (Management and Handling) Rules, 2001 is hereby extended up to 30th of September 2021. The decision is taken in view of the current Covid-19 Pandemic situation. It is further directed that no more waiver in registration fee will be considered and action is to be taken against dealers who fail to get registered

Implementation Of Newly Developed JVS Module In Maharashtra

Maharashtra Pollution Control Board vide Notification No.MPCB/EIC/IMIS/210730-FTS-0154 has notified the implementation of newly developed JVS Module. Industries are charged for the samples collected during inspections based on its type and parameters. Currently, manual bills are generated and the industries were bound to make payment via Demand Draft, Cheque etc., So as to ease the process of JVS payments and to make it user friendly, JVS module has been developed and made live from 1st August 2021 on IMIS and MPCB web portal. Requirement Of Environmental Clearance For Re-Rolling, Cold Rolling Units And Cold Rolled Coils In Maharashtra

Maharashtra Pollution Control Board vide Notification No. MPCB/JD(APC)/Rolling Mill/TB/B-0141 has directed that in compliance with the Hon'ble NGT Order dated 12 February 2020, the Re-rolling/Cold rolling units/cold rolled coils established or operating with consent to establish/operate shall apply for environment clearance and obtain environmental clearance from competent authority under EIA Notification 2006 on or before 22/10/2021.
