ESIC Circular On Collection OF AADHAR For Beneficiaries or Insured Persons
ESIC vide circular no. P-11/14/11Rules/2020-BFT II has instructed all regional offices that the requirement of AADHAR for availing benefits may not be mandatory till the provisions of The Social Security Code, 2020 is implemented. Chhattisgarh PCB Notification On Ease Of Doing Business
Chhattisgarh State Pollution Control Board vide notification dated 18th May 2021 has informed that it is accepting online applications for establishment consent, operating consent and renewal of consent under Ease of Doing Business. It is also informed through the notification that online applications regarding consent is also being undertaken for various Rules such as E-Waste Management Rules, 2016, Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016 etc. Please refer the notification for more details

ESI Contribution Due Date Extended For The Month Of April 2021
ESIC vide notification no p-11/14/Misc/1/2019-Rev-II, keeping in view of pandemic and second wave of Coronavirus (COVID-19), has extended the ESI contribution for the month of April 2021 from 15th May 2021 to 15th June 2021

The Telangana State Pollution Control Board has issued notification for registration of Producers, Importers and Brand Owners (PIBOs) under the provisions of the Plastic waste management Rules 2016 as they are required to fulfil the Extended Producers Responsibility (EPR) for the plastic waste generated due to the products introduced by them in the market. The notice is issued by the TSPCB to inform all the PIBOs to obtain registration from CPCB/SPCB/PCC (as applicable). To this extent, they are informed to submit an application for registration latest by 15th May 2021. TSPCB has also informed that action will be taken against defaulters which may include levying of Environmental Compensation or even closure of PIBOs operation. Appointment Of Effective Date Of Section 142 of Code On Social Security, 2020
Government of India vide Gazette notification no.1603 has appointed the 3rd day of May 2021 as the date on which the provisions of section 142 of the Code on Social Security, 2020 shall come into force. As per the notification, the Government has made Aadhaar mandatory as identity proof for all employees and workers, including organized and unorganized workers, to avail social security benefits with effect from May 3rd in order to prevent the misuse of the benefit being given to workers or employees with a fake identity. Section 142 of the Code on Social Security, 2020 provides that the employees or unorganized workers shall, to register as beneficiaries for social security benefits or avail other social security services, establish his identity or, as the case may be, the identity of his family members or dependants through Aadhaar number. The Aadhaar registration is mandatory for all workers and employees seeking social security benefits from the government in either kind or cash. These would also include medical and sickness benefits, pension, gratuity, maternity benefit, or any other benefit or withdrawal of fund. Further, Aadhaar registration will also be mandatory for availing services of the career centre or receiving any payment or medical attendance as the insured person himself or for his dependants

ESIC On Medical Care Benefits And Relief During COVID-19 Pandemic
ESIC vide press release no. F.No.E-13/12/5/2021-ER has introduced medical care and relief to its beneficiaries during COVID-19 pandemics. As per the press release, (1) The insured person can claim sickness benefits for the period of abstention. The sickness benefit is paid at 70 per cent of daily wage for ninety-one days, (2) The insured person during the period of unemployment may avail relief under Atal Beemit Vyakti Yozana Scheme under fifty per cent average per day earning for a maximum of ninety days. (3) The insured person during retrenchment or closure under The Industrial Dispute Act, 1947 may claim unemployment allowance for a period of two years (4) In any case of unfortunate demise of Insured Person, funeral expenses of Rs.15000 are paid to eldest surviving members of his family. The Employees' Deposit-Linked Insurance (Amendment) Scheme, 2021
EPFO vide notification no. G.S.R. 299 E has amended The Employees' Deposit-Linked Insurance Scheme, 1976. As per the amendment, the maximum assurance benefit under the Employees’ Deposit Linked Insurance (EDLI) scheme has now been increased to Seven lakh from the existing cover of six lakhs. The Central Government vide notification no. G.S.R. 261(E) has notified ''Setting up of Technical Committee" under the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020 for the purpose of assisting the Central Government or the National Board in discharging Safety and other related measures across Industrial Establishments. The committee shall consists of members from government, public, autonomous or private institutions/industries and shall frame, formulate and review standards, rules and regulations under the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020 and have further laid down provisions with respect to Resignation, Cessations, Disqualification and removal from membership. As a part of the pre-consultation process and in compliance with 134(1) of the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020 i.e. condition of previous publications of Draft Rules under the Code, inviting Objection and suggestion, which may be received from any person with respect to draft notification before the expiry of forty-five days from the date of publications
