List Of Implemented And Non-Implemented Areas Under ESIC

The ESIC vide circular No. X-11/14/6/2015-P&D dated 1st April 2021 has published the updated list of implemented and non-implemented areas under ESIC 2.0/ Vison-2022 as on 1st April 2021. The state wise updated list of implementation of the respective states/districts are mentioned in Annexure I. Therefore, Employers may reach out to the nearest RO/SRO of ESIC Department, verify local office preparedness and comply with obtaining ESIC code/ sub-codes wherever applicable. One Time Relaxation In Contributory Condition For Entitlement To Receive Medical Benefit Under ESIC

The Employees State Insurance Corporation vide notification no; F.No.V-14/11/6/2018/Med.I Misc has decided to grant one-time relaxation in entitlement criteria for ESI scheme contribution while assessing eligibility for medical benefits. Further, for all practical purpose, while processing entitlement for medical benefit including super-specialty treatment services of a pre-existing ESI beneficiary, it shall be assumed that contribution has been received during the contribution period with effect from 1st April 2020 to 30th September 2020 and there is no break in the contribution of fund towards ESI scheme during this period. Kerala PCB Circular Regarding Sewage Pollution From Establishments

The Kerala State Pollution Control Board vide circular no PCB/HO/circular/2015 has issued a circular in reference to circular no. PCB/HO/SEE-3/TECH/6/2017 regarding sewage pollution from establishments. The circular clarifies the following point: Projects for which building permits or any other Licenses have been obtained from the concerned authorities prior to November 04, 2020, which specifies the minutes of review meeting for the sewage pollution from establishments, shall be exempted from condition (i) of the said circular.

EPFO Circular Regarding Member Profile Correction

EPFO vide circular no: WSU/KYC/Correction process (E-15189)/2874 has notified a competent authority to approve member profile correction requests. Member profile correction requests such as a change in Name, Gender, Date of Birth, and Father name are ‘categorized into Minor and Major corrections. Minor corrections include expansion of initials, insertion of father name as a middle name as per Aadhaar, and change in the surname of female employees after marriage. Major corrections are changes in the complete name, Father name, or correction in more than two fields, which require documentary evidence. APFC/RPFC II approves the minor corrections whereas RPFC I/ RPFC II (OIC) approves the major corrections. Please refer to the notification for more details

Deployment Of Electronic Facility At Employer Interface Of EPFO’s Unified Portal For Principal Employers To View EPF Compliances Of Their Contractors And Contract Workers

EPFO has introduced a new facility in its unified portal enabling the employers to declare their contractors and the period of the contract so that they may view and monitor the compliances in respect of their contract employees reported in the ECR. Through this facility, the principal employers can also view whether the employer’s share of EPF contributions paid by the principal employer has been remitted by the contractor for all contract workers or not. Central Government Extends The Validity Of Environmental Clearances

The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change vide Gazette Notification no. S.O. 221(E) has extended the validity of environmental clearances for reducing the burden of the pandemic outbreak and resultant lockdowns. The notification provides that the period from the 1st April 2020 to the 31st March 2021 shall not be considered for the purpose of calculation of the period of validity of Prior Environmental Clearances granted as per notification dated 14 September 2006 in view of the outbreak of Corona Virus (COVID-19) and subsequent lockdowns (total or partial) declared for its control. However, all activities undertaken during this period in respect of the environmental clearance granted shall be treated as valid. Please refer to the notification for details
