Further Extension Of Validity Period Of Consent To Operate In Jharkhand
The Jharkhand Pollution Control Board, vide Notification No. B-100 has extended the validity of Consent to Operate to 30th September 2020, which were previously set to expire on 31st March 2020, 30th April 2020, 31st May 2020, 30th June 2020, 31st July 2020, and 31st August 2020. The extension will be in compliance with the conditions mentioned in the previous operating consent and related statutory conditions. Please refer to the notification for more details

Punjab State Pollution Control Board vide notification No. SEE(HQ-2)/2020/475, has released directions regarding the procedure for dealing application for obtaining one-time authorization by the trader for the import of scrap on behalf of 'actual user' as required under Part-D of Schedule-III of Hazardous and Other Waste (Management and Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016. The notification also contains the list of documents required for the submission of the application for obtaining the one-time authorization. Please refer to the notification for details

ESIC vide notification No. E-13/12/9/2020-P.R. had launched the 'Atal Bimit Vyakti Kalyna Yojna' (ABVKY) a scheme under which unemployment benefit is paid to the workers covered under ESIC Scheme. The ESIC has now decided to extend the scheme for one more year up to 30th June 2021. It has been decided to relax the existing conditions and enhance the amount of relief for workers who have lost employment during the Covid-19 pandemic period. The enhanced relief under the relaxed conditions will be payable during the period of 24th March 2020 to 31st December 2020. Thereafter the scheme will be available with original eligibility condition during the period 1st January 2021 to 30th June 2021. The eligibility criteria for availing the relief have also been relaxed, as under: (i), The payment of relief has been enhanced to 50% of the average of wages from earlier 25% of average wages payable up to a maximum of ninety days of unemployment. (ii) Instead of the relief becoming payable ninety days after unemployment, it shall become due for payment after thirty days. (iii) The Insured Person can submit the claim directly to ESIC Branch Office instead of the claim being forwarded by the last employer and the payment shall be made directly in the bank account of the Insured Person. (iv) The Insured Person should have been insurable employment for a minimum period of two years before his/her employment and should have contributed for not less than seventy-eight days in the contribution period immediately preceding to unemployment and minimum seventy-eight days in one of the remaining three contribution periods in two years prior to unemployment. Industries Generating Hazardous Waste To Install Display Board In Assam
Pollution Control Board Assam vide Notification No. WB/T-237/19-20/95 has directed all industries involved in hazardous chemicals and generating hazardous waste to install display board outside the factory gate containing information related to effluent discharge, air emissions, and waste generated in their factory premises in the format annexed with the notification. In addition to this, the Installation of Online Display Board has been made mandatory in all the large scale, medium, and small units and it may also be regulated to install an appropriate size manual environmental data display board outside the factory gate. The Tripura Industrial Disputes (Second Amendment) Ordinance, 2020
Governor of Tripura vide notification No.F.8(19)-Law/Leg-I/2020 dated 11th August 2020 has promulgated The Tripura Industrial Disputes (Second Amendment) Ordinance,2020 amending The Industrial Disputes Act, 1947. As per the ordinance the time limit for submission of an application to the Labour Court or Tribunal, in case of dismissal of an individual workman which may be deemed to be an industrial dispute, has been reduced from three years to one year from the date of dismissal, retrenchment, discharge or termination of service as per provisions of the Act. Punjab State Pollution Control Board vide notification No. SEE(HQ-2)/2020/453, has extended the Consent to Establish, Operate, Authorization, Registration, and any other mandatory regulatory clearances to 31st March 2021 which were set to expire on or after 30th June 2020. The extension is subjected to the following conditions : (1) Consent/authorization/registration application shall be submitted along with fee and undertaking to the effect that the industry is complying with the consent/authorization conditions and achieve the effluent/emission standard at all times. (2) The site inspection shall be carried out in due course of time. (3) In case of any complaint/violation, the consent/authorization shall be automatically considered to be revoked. Voluntary Disclosure Scheme For Industries, Institutes And Other Establishments In Punjab
Punjab State Pollution Control Board vide notification No. SEE(HQ-2)/2020/454, has announced Voluntary Disclosure scheme (VDS) for all the industries/institutes/other establishments to ensure compliance with various environmental laws. It will be applicable to all those who fulfill the following criteria: (a) The industries/institutes/other establishments have to deposit consent fee w.e.f. 1st November 2018 or from the date of the commissioning of the unit. In case the industry has been in operation before 1st November 2018, the industry shall deposit a one-time notional fee amounting to Rs. 5000/- (b) The scheme is valid only for those small scale industries or institutes/other establishments (having capital investment less than Rs. 10 crores), operating in designated areas and those which have never obtained consent to operate (c) Only those applications received through the online system of the Board (OCMMS) up to 31st December 2020, will be considered under this scheme.
