Online Generation Of Registration Under Central BOCW

As per notification published in the official gazette dated 4th September, 2018, the Government of India has amended the Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Central Rules, 1998. The registration has to be compulsorily filed online on the Shram Suvidha Portal of the Ministry of Labour and Employment (https://shramsuvidha.gov.in/registerAgency). The payment of the fees shall be made by e-payment. The Certificate of registration shall also be generated electronically. A similar draft amendment has also been introduced for Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Central Rules, 1971 and Inter-State Migrant Workmen (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Central Rules, 1980, which are pending final publication

UAN Generation Without Aadhaar For Residents Of Assam, Meghalaya And Nagaland

The EPFO as per circular dated 29th August 2018 has cited reasons that since the penetration of Aadhaar is very low in Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland, many requests were received from employers for allowing generation of UAN without using Aadhaar. Hence, EPFO has made a provision in the Unified Portal in the Establishment login for the generation of UAN without Aadhaar for employees residing in any of the three states mentioned. It is allowed for a period of three months from 24th August 2018 to 23rd November 2018. Please refer to the circular for detailed process flow

Registration Or Licenses Issuance Made Online Though Shram Suvidha Portal Under Certain Central Labour Laws

The Ministry of Labour and Employment, Govt. of India, has launched Online Registration/Licensing under Contract Labour (Regulation And Abolition) Act,1970, Inter-State Migrant Workmen (Regulation Of Employment And Conditions Of Service) Act, 1979 and The Building And Other Construction Workers (Regulation Of Employment And Conditions Of Service Act, 1996 through Shram Suvidha Portal. Therefore, all Principle employers/Contractors are hereby requested to apply for Registration/Licenses under above applicable acts Online only through Shram Suvidha portal. Declaration Of PF Rate Of Interest For EPF Members Account For The Year 2017-18

As per EPFO notification dated 25th May 2018, the EPFO has conveyed the approval of the Central Government via The Ministry of Labour and Employment to credit interest at 8.55% for the year 2017-18 to the account of each member of the EPF Scheme as per the provisions under Para 60 of EPF Scheme, 1952

Administrative Charges Revised Under The Employees Provident Funds Scheme (PF)

As per notification S.O. 2011 (E) published in the Gazette of India dated 21st May 2018, the Ministry of Labour and Employment in consultation with the Central Board has revised the administration charges payable under Employees Provident Funds Scheme to 0.50 % of the pay as referred in Paragraph 30 and Paragraph 38 (1) of the scheme. The revised admin charges will be effective 1st June 2018. The Ministry has further clarified that nothing contained in this notification shall affect the administrative charges payable in respect of the period up to and inclusive of the 31st May, 2018

Amendments To The Guidelines Of Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Protsahan Yojana (PMRPY) For EPF And EPS Members

As per EPFO circular dated 24th April 2018, the EPFO has intimated an amendment to the guidelines of Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Protsahan Yojana. As per the amendment to the guidelines the Government of India will pay the full employer's contribution (EPF and EPS both) w.e.f. 1st April 2018 for a period of three years to the new employees and to the existing beneficiaries for their remaining period of three years through EPFO. The last date of registration of beneficiary through establishment is 31st March 2019

Issuance Of E-Pehchan Card To Insured Persons Under ESI

As per ESIC circular dated 24th April 2018, ESIC has mentioned that the issuance of bio metric e-pehchan card has been discontinued. ESIC has emphasized that as a measure of ease of doing business employers have been empowered to register their unit, their employees online and also issue e-pehchan card. However it has been reported that some insured persons are facing difficulties due to non-issuance of e-pehchan card by their employers. The ESIC has highlighted on the importance of issuing e-Pehchan card by employers after receiving due particulars from employees/ insured persons. In case any complaint or representation regarding non issuance of e-pehchan card to insured persons by their employers, ESIC has instructed the respective field units to facilitate the issuance of e-Pehchan Card after receiving due particulars and in cases where sufficient details are not provided by the insured persons, the field offices have been given the responsibility to ensure to find out the necessary particulars to the extent possible and issue e-Pehchan Card to insured persons

PF Settlement And Claims Through Online Mode Temporarily Made Offline In Certain Cases

As per EPFO circular dated 13th April 2018, the EPFO has cited the instructions issued in circular dated 27th February whereas it was directed that in case the amount of claim settlement is above rupees ten lakhs for PF claims and rupees five lakhs in respect of the EPS withdrawal claims, the claim form must be accepted through online mode only. As per this circular dated 13th April 2018, the EPFO has considered grievances raised by members/claimants (including International workers) in filing the online claims and has directed that the mandatorily online claim will be temporarily on hold so that the offline claims can also be accepted in all cases. EPFO has further directed that the claims received online from claimants will be sent online to employers for further verification, only after which the claim will be settled. The employers have been also directed to return the claim within three days to the EPFO office either accepting or rejecting the claim
